HIAB factory accident compensationOur client was a factory HIAB crane operator. His was badly injured when the crane's hook moved unexpectedly trapping and crushing his right hand. His employers said that they couldn't find anything wrong with the crane and said that it must have been operator error. He was adamant that he was not touching the controls when the hook moved. We argued that not only was the crane defective but that his employers should have instructed him not to operate the controls while he was standing on the same side as the hook.
